The movies I've seen that have Straight razors in them are: 1. Sweeney Todd. Almost the whole movie is about shaving. 2. Bram Stokers Dracula. Keanu Reeves is shaving with a straigt, cuts himself, and Dracula finishes the shave for him. 3. Pans Labyrinth. The General of the army is shaving with a str8. 4. The Crow with Brandon Lee. Though not shaving; Marla grabs a str8 off the back of the toilet. A silver steel with tortoise handle/scale, to protect herself from the Crow, who is dragging her boyfriend Fun Boy into the bath tub. 5. Tombstone with Kurt Russell. Doc. Holiday played by Val Kilmer gets a shave with a str8.

I can't believe no one has mentioned 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. The Weasely character uses a straight as his weapon of choice.

I'm fairly sure Alex uses a straight in 'Clockwork Orange'. However, it has been a few years since I watched that film.

If I remember correctly, they called str8s "britvas" in the book. I don't remember the movie much.

Another Kubrick film with Str8s is "Barry Lyndon". Lyndon's shave is interupted when he learns his son has been thrown from a horse.

James Coburn gets a str8 shave in "Our Man Flint".

Roman Polansky's Bitter Moon - Peter Coyote uses a str8, there is a scene, where Emmanuelle Seigner tries to shave Peter Coyote, and nicks him.

    Good movie, good scenes

I read the book "Clockwork Orange" around 1970, so it's a little hazy now. The book was written in the gang's lingo, a quasi-English/Russian dialect. There was a glossary at the back of the book that was well used. It was about 100 pages before I was used to the lingo and my friends said about the same. It was a "horrorshow" (good) read.

    The Color Purple

Woopie Goldberg shaves Danny Glover with a straight. When you first see it, you just know she is going to lop his head off!

Because all of the slang in A Clockwork Orange is based on Russian.

    Red face

There was a scene in Gilligan's Island where the Skipper is shaving with a straight. How else could they look so well groomed after all those years on the island? Maybe the Professor found something to hone it with on the other side of the island!
