    Default one of those days

I have been looking to buy an alum block for months, just never got around to it. Saw one at AOS yesterday and so finally bought it. When I broke it out this morning for the first time, I struggled getting it out of the box and it went flying across the room. Smashed into a million pieces on the floor!!!

    Should have stayed in bed!

Was it stuck in the packaging?

Ouch! That's a real shame... at least it was only an alum block and not a razor that you threw across the room.

it was stuck in the plastic box. The humidity could have made the stone stick to it. Might have to call AOS.

    Good thinking....

I keep mine out in the open and in a metal dish. After I use it, it seems like I didn't get enough of the water off of it and it sticks/dries to the dish. This seems to make the surface rough, too.

You can probably still sort of push your face around on the floor after shaving

I feel your pain! I've done this with three alum blocks in two years. They get slippery when wet and it only take s moment's lapse -- broke one in the sink and two on the bathroom floor. You'd think I'd learn...

Can't see why the splasher would be that much of a problem, after all it is the dogs watering hole.

UPDATE _ I took it back to AOS last night and they replaced it no questions asked! Great customer service.
