It is presharpened, so you wouldn't have to get it honed. I believe that Lynn might sharpen their blades. Don't quote me on that though.

TSENFW has it right. Covers everything your husband will need. I ordered my Dovo razor from Vintagebladesllc.com with the optional honed shave ready option( 19.99 additional charge ). I love it and I'm having a great time. Be sure to get him a quality aftershave lotion. After a great shave theres nothing like coming out of the bathroom smelling like a real lady killer!
