Thanked: 0On the road and looking for a top-quality shave
I previously posted a thread that I travel extensively and look for the best barer shops that offer a top-quality straight razor shave. I appreciate those who have responded allready and I encourage others to submit their choices. Just so you know, my travels in the next several weeks include: Chicago, Charlotte, Omaha, Lancaster (PA) and Jupiter (FL). I'd like to ask the Straight Razor Place community to submit their choice shops around the country (with comments if you like). As an example, I recall a top-quality straught razor shave in Tampa, so here goes:
Steve's Haircuts/3906 South MacDill Avenue, Tampa, FL/813-837-3900
Steve (owner) did a great job. His customer service is outstanding as I called him from the Tampa airport at 4PM and told him that I needed an appointment for a very important meeting the next morning. He stayed late (after 6PM) for me, a first time customer. Over a period of 45 minutes, Steve used the straight razor with expertise to my scalp, face and neck. Overall, Steve's Haircuts is highly recommended (5 STARS out of 5 STARS).

Thanked: 0Lynn, Just returned form Chicago and took your advice about a straight razor shave at Truefitt and Hill (on Michigan Avenue). Great experience overall with terrific service and a top-quality shave. As I travel extensively, do you know of any shops nationally (or a reliable website)? Thanks again. Tony (IHaveTransplants)

There was this great show about a guy traveling the world trying out the local beverages called the Thirsty Traveler.
I guess we could call you "The Hairy Traveler"?
ha, I look forward to hearing more. If you have any advice in or around Jacksonville Florida, I would love to hear it.
