Ever been startled and cut while shaving?
Yes, when ever my neighbor slams the hood (bonnet) of his 70s Ford Bronco it makes the same sound as the lid of one of those big metal dumpsters (skips) and a few weeks ago while lining up to make an ATG stroke on my throat, BOOM, an inch (25mm) long crease of red wells up right over my jugular.
Had to dissolve half a styptic to make it stop.

Thank god I haven't been startled enough to cut myself yet. People always seem to want to talk to me when I shave though! And it always seems to be when I'm shaving my neck too. Nothing like holding a really sharp blade to your throat and hearing "DAVE!!".....I know that's gonna get my throat slit one day.

Last thursday my brother and I were on a rush... I was hurrying the shave quite a bit and all of a sudden he knocks imposingly on the door. The spike on my razor found it's way of spiking me... because of the rush it was cut number 3 that norning. It didn't bleed much... but when I was tying the knot on my neck-tie, I found that I had stained the impecably white collar of my shirt!
It was a formal ocasion... and blood is not a good thing if you are going to a cerimony with the President of the Republic, right?

I play it safe..as soon as I hear someone nearing the bathroom I stop put the blade down..just in case

I shave with the door open, and since it is just me and my wife....I've been pretty lucky about not being startled.
But as for cutting, I can do that on my own...I don't have to be startled to achieve this.

How about this? It didn't happen to me, but OUCH! For the newer guys, JL Storm loves the big razors......actually shaves with a 12/8 regularly. So when he gets nicked....

Just this morning I was shaving. I didn't know that I had left my 'phone in the bathroom (for whatever reason, don't ask). It decided to ring, I didn't expect it - OW!
