    Ahh................I understand exactly Smokelaw1!! If I could have the FUN of a straight shave with the ease, closeness and comfort of my Merkur HD, that would be my shaving ideal!! However, I can't get those results with a str8 right now, so I'll continue to use my DE guilt-free as often as I want, with the occassional straight shave when the mood strikes. The bottom line is simply what gives the best, most comfortable shave, and for me right now, the answer is a DE.
