Update: I picked up a tube of C.O Bigelow, and it is wonderful stuff!

Me too and love it as well... much easier to find a Bath & Bodyworks then a store that has Proraso !

Wow I tried Proraso today. For being used to canned lather I was impressed! It's very thick and smells nice! It irritated my skin a bit after I shaved, but I think that's just my skin getting used to my first straight shave

The other night talking to Don about soaps, the issue of quality came up. He said that the price of the is determined by the quality of the ingredients used in the manufacture. Glen mentioned Proraso as a good choice of cream for uber lather. Don said that Proraso is not a very good at conditioning. Please guys correct me if my memory is failing me. Do you feel that Proraso is not so good at conditioning the skin?

The first time I used it, my skin was very irritated by the end of my passes. But each successive time I use it, I get less and less irritation. I chalk it up to poor technique and my skin getting used to a new way of doing things. As far as conditioning, it probably doesn't condition as well as better brands, but I use CVS Aftersun (moisturizes, treats minor cuts and burns, intended for sunburn, but great for noobs like me!) before I put on my aftershave, and the combo works great. Little to no irritation after the whole process is complete.

I'll never switch shaving creams again now that I found proaso. It is the best stuff ive ever shaved with.Granted it's only 18yrs worth of shaving. The part that hooked me was when I made the first stroke. Some how the lather made a breese of cool air come across my face.It was amazing. After the shave I washed off with cool water and checked my handywork giving it a good rub.I asid to myself" f... me". I been using garbage my whole life.Put the aftershave balm away without useing it and haven't touch it since.
