I finally made it to that famed place this evening and I was not disappointed!
Thanks to my busy schedule (and a lousy Tube service ), I ran into the Taylor of Old Bond St. shop only ten minutes before closing but it was worth it. I did not leave empty handed - I rewarded myself with a brush (branded as Taylor's but it is a Vulfix 660P - it looks like all their brushes are made by Vulfix) and a jar of the Eton shaving cream after sniffing their whole inventory. That combination produces superb lather, the 660P medium is definitely a step up from my hair shedding Tweezerman.

They also let me catch my breath and look at a nice Bismarck. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable and I wish I had more time to spend there and in the other shops. I will plan better the next time...
