Jermyn St, London
I finally made it to that famed place this evening and I was not disappointed!
Thanks to my busy schedule (and a lousy Tube service ), I ran into the Taylor of Old Bond St. shop only ten minutes before closing but it was worth it. I did not leave empty handed - I rewarded myself with a brush (branded as Taylor's but it is a Vulfix 660P - it looks like all their brushes are made by Vulfix) and a jar of the Eton shaving cream after sniffing their whole inventory. That combination produces superb lather, the 660P medium is definitely a step up from my hair shedding Tweezerman.
They also let me catch my breath and look at a nice Bismarck. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable and I wish I had more time to spend there and in the other shops. I will plan better the next time...
If you are in London, you MUST visit the Jermyn street!

Thanked: 1587I like that street for more than just the razor shops. There's some good things down there.
But yes, Trumpers is a great little shop there. That's where I bought my Bergischer Lowe and some other stuff. Taylors was a little too busy when I was there so I only gave it a cursory glance.

Thanked: 278Glad you managed to spend some time in the shop.
You were probably lucky they were open at all given the chaos caused by the few inches of snow we had.
The UK has now run out of salt for spreading on the roads! I apologise to any visitors to my country.

I had originally planned to go there on Monday but... London was not quite winning its battle with the "blizzard" and I was lucky that I made it to my office and back. My wife was not very happy when she found out that most of the shops on the Bond streets were closed that day.
