Default I just won 300 dubl duck Lifetimes! Woo-Hoo

Ok .... maybe I need to back up a bit and explain. In April I bid on a dubl duck Goldedge this couple that only sells razors occasionally had up on eBay. The photo for the ad had TWO dubl duck razors in it. One the Goldedge, the other one of those late production, replaceable blade dubl duck Lifetime razors that did double duty as a hair shaper. Well, when the Goldedge arrived, the replaceable blade Lifetime was in the box too. I hadn't really grasped the auction had been for BOTH razors. I had thought the sellers were just taking a sloppy shortcut in photographing their razor offerings.

So the handle on the replaceable blade razor was good enough that I thought I might just get some blades for it and resell it. The problem is the blades are just short of 3" long, an atypical replacement blade size. Leave it to dubl duck to make a replaceable blade razor only *they* had replacements for. Needless to say, the blades have long been out of production and I couldn't find them at any barber supply store in my "Favorites" URLs.

So yesterday I'm making my routine scan for dubl ducks and guess what. I find a whole retail box of replacement blades for the Lifetime!

Was that good timing or what? The best part: I was the only bidder and got them for $2.99 + shipping! GoMe!

I think the Dubl Duck spirit shines on you (I remember that wonderedge you sold last year, it's still the most expensive razor I've ever seen sold on ebay! woo hoo ).

Yea, that was about 18 months ago, now. The fellow that bought that razor obviously had a bit of disposable funds laying around, but also I knew him to have pretty good taste in razors. What I *didn't* know at the time, was that he didn't have that much longer to live, although *he* almost surely knew he was dying. At least he had a few good shaves in his last six months, really good shaves. So, maybe this time it was just Judge Carl returning the favor from above.
