is anyone aware of an instructional video for sale that teaches you how to perform a straight razor shave on another person?

I'm not aware of any. The principles should be the same as shaving yourself, only the perspective is changed. The tube is a great resource for these types of things. If you can't shave yourself you probably shouldn't tackle anyone else & i certainly wouldn't want to be anyones guinea pig! Your own face is a great place to start & shaving a balloon is still used to train when getting an idea of required pressure's.

As a pro tattooer I have shaved many people with a straight. Not their faces but limbs and trunk areas. A sharp razor, light touch and stretching the skin is the ticket. In the help files in the toolbar above you will find downloads of barber manuals with illustrations and explanations of shaving other people. You could try what I did to learn to tattoo. Use your friends as guinea pigs and if you learn how before you run out of friends your good to go.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 0thanks guys for the info. i'm a cosmotoligist thats worked in a barbershop for 10 years and we're thinking about offering straight razor shaves. i already shave napes, around the ears, and the sides and back on the marine high & tights. i have shaved my step-father once so far and the shave was ok but i could use some more instruction. we by law have to use the disposable blade razors so i use the common magic razor, the dovo shavette, and the feather nape and body razor.
i also have found out that the hot lather that we use out of the latherizers is really only good for the nape. i use stephens stay smooth shave cream around the ears and on the high & tights.

There are plenty of vids on youtube.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
