pitting in new wapi!
Has anyone, who has ordered a new wapi had imperfection or pitting. I was a little dissopointed when i opened the packaging and found the blemishes on the blade. Something about sanding a brand new blade did not sound fun, but i did and had to go down to 180 on a new straight.

I would imagine you should've checked if you can get a replacement before deciding to fix it yourself. Did that fail?
Other than that in my understanding the quality is not very consistent among these cheap razors. But then they are cheap perhaps partially for this reason.

Where did you get the razor? Contacting the seller would've been my first move towards solving the issue. Also Wapis are old razors, I am assuming it wasn't the Wapi II you're talking about? The originals are from communist Poland in the 1940's, I believe.

WAPIs are generally considered to be from the 1970's. Poland was not effectively communist until the late 40's and was in no position to produce WAPI's or much of anything else due to WW2 damage at that time.

Thanked: 37Yup, I had a few blemishes on my spankin' new Wapi. I took a little maas polish and went to town. When that didn't do it I just accepted it and had a shave.
Now If I had spent a hundred bucks on that hunk of metal I would have been on the phone to the retailer.
