    Default Member's honing services

    Hello,

I have two straight razors that I got some time ago that I need sharpened/honed. Their each worth around 100$ so I was just wondering what the usual procedure is when sending them of to a member to sharpen for you. What guarantee do I have that they wont be broken/kept. I may just be paranoid and should just have some trust but is their any really reputable honemeisters in the ontario region other then floppyshoes?

    Thanks!

I have been here a little over a year now and have yet to hear of one member screwing another. Floppyshoes has a rep that can not be beat. If you are worried about breakage in transit, package your razor inside of a piece of PVC pipe.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Your fears will be gone once you stick around here for a while and get to know these folks. It's a great bunch of people I would never question...

Your razors won't be kept. Rest assured.
If you want guarantee that they're not going to be harmed or lost in the mail, you can send them insured and ask the honemeister to send them back insured as well. Of course the postage will be more expensive that way.

Having a razor lost in the mail, is my worst nightmare when I'm sending out honed razors. So far it hasn't happened.
