Thanked: 1903Lost for words here, but as a west German of sorts, you should get my drift: "Du hast echt eine Schraube locker".
Apart from that, seriously good stuff going on here. Keep going, chap.

Thanked: 3795You said the contest would occur in 2009. As far as I'm concerned, you're right on schedule! Also, thank you very much for doing this. Could I have the 8th one from the front. It looks like a good one!

I have been curious as to what happened with it. Thanks for the update
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 1212Double Arrows have decent steel, but the scales are a disaster. It would be a pity if someone's honing results got mangled form hitting the scales. Also, I thought it would be a nice treat to give the contenders a competition razor that was unique it its kind.
The material is Trespa and I got it for free from a firm, that sympathized with the purpose. The working ours are on me.
Still need to do some final polishing, tweaking the blades a bit (fix the shoulder issue that's typical for DA's) and then we'll start the procedure for entering the game.
Bart.

Nice job, Bart. Thank you for doing this. And, dang, I better blow the dust of my hones, give them all a good lapping, hone a mess of my razors and get back into honing form, eh? Game on!!

Thanked: 1212more pictures
There's still plenty of time, Chis...
I've mocked one up today and tried to make a few decent pictures.
I also made a final decision on how I'm going to deal with the shoulder issue. (some partial regrinding)
Please remember that I'm doing over 30 of them, so it 'll take me a while before they're all finished.
Enjoy,
Bart.
