Newbie Havin Fun
I received my first straight razor as a birthday gift on Monday, I was very excited about the entire process. While I was looking at razors an talking to people I would think into the future about teaching my son to shave when he becomes a teenager and what a great experience that would be. Well I did not have to wait that long. Both nights that I shaved, my son has come into the bathroom with me and used my my brush and soap on himself and me. It was been a extremely rewarding experience that I was already excited about, but the fun that my son and I are having makes it even better.
I would also like to thank Bob Keyes for allowing me into his home to teach me about stropping, honing and some of the finer point of shaving. I am apart of a site much like this that pertains to traditional archery, and I am glad to see that SRP has the same sense of community and responsibility.
Thanks Matt Hill

Welcome to the forums Matt. It does look like you and your son are having a ball in those pics and that is priceless. Not to spoil your fun but,,,,I close the door to tghe bathroom when i shave. It's much safer and I learned that the HARD way. My 60 lb Aussie Shepard can in and bumped the back of my legs and, lets just say there was blood....lol...Just a thought...

Mike, thanks for the advice. I kick him out when I start shaving. I don't want anything to happen to him or me.

Welcome, Matt
Thanks for the pics. My little guy is still too small for these shenanigans, but I can't wait to get into them with him. It sure looks like fun.
