Sham,I apologize for stealing your thread title, but I wanted everyone to know that I think you are a great guy.

Everyone, here's what hi_bud_gl did for me. A while back, Sam offered a PIF to hone a razor for four different people. I happened to see his post a few minutes after he put it up and got in on the deal.

I sent him what I think might be my granddad's best razor - a Wostenholm pipe razor. Finally got it in the mail to him last Wednesday. It was a little tarnished, but very salvageable. It was back in my hands exactly one week later and it's the sharpest thing I've ever seen. Sham did a beautiful job on it and even cleaned it up a bit while he had it.

We exchanged a few emails along the way and, as you know if you know him, he was courteous, generous, humble and kind. A true gentleman...

Sham's kindness has really meant a lot to me. It's pure joy to have one of grandad's razors back in good order again. I just wanted to publicly thank Sham (Thank You Sham!) for being a great guy.

He's a good fella indeed & frequently does the honing offer. I'll take him up on it one day & find out what a properly sharp blade is like!

I'll second ..... or third that motion ! Sham and I have been keeping a regular correspondence going on rocks, both of us being afflicted with HAD. He sent me one of his brown Eschers and a Charnley Forest to evaluate. There isn't a nicer guy on SRP then Sham.

if the world would follow the example of srp we would have a wonderful world to live in everyone is kind and willing to help thier neighbor i am proud to call myself a srp member. maybe we should buy our own country

hey guys i was also one of the lucky ones to get in. i just sent my razor off like on thursday i think and i cant wait. another great thing is that i will also hopefully get a chance to meet sham in person here really soon. i cant wait for that either.
