Thanked: 105Pay attention to what you are doing
Got distracted for just a second and lucky that I did not break anything. When using power tools, pay attention to the work at hand. I was not working on a razor at the time but it applies just the same. This will hinder my work but it will heal.
Be safe

Thanked: 278Ow! Hope the pain fades quickly.
On the plus side the skin on your left hand looks so youthful! You may have found a DIY alternative to Botox!

Ouch.. what happened? Always better to get these little reminders though than to have one huge lesson that is permanent.

Wow ! I know that didn't feel good. Glad it is no worse then that. Get well soon.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

How lucky you are!! Looks like it could have been a LOT worse. There is an ointment called Arnica that will help you to reabsorb the blood from the bruising, and also with the pain. Lots of ice , rest, and elevation would be helpful, as was already pointed out. Looks like you took one hell of a heavy blow to that hand...I am assuming you got it X-rayed for fractures? Hope it heals fast. I know you will be very careful in the future!

"Pay attention to detail" is what the Navy taught me in boot camp and it has been with me since.

Thanked: 105Thank you all for your concern.
I just wanted to remind every one that accidents do happen, and it only takes a second to happen.
I just had my hand in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was using an air assist 6 ton porta power to straighten a frame rail. Turned to get a hammer and one end slipped off. I was holding onto the porta power with my left hand, which I should not have been doing. I know better. Wham, I got a bruised hand, lucky.
Again Thank you all.
Be safe.
Tim
