    Default what does this mean?

While browsing one of the other str8 razor forums I ran across the comment
"I honed a Wadsworth XLNT, undoubtedly one of the hardest razors around".
The context was regarding the evaluation of a hone. Does this mean the XLNT is made of steel which has been hardened to a high rockwell number? If so, what other razors are comparable in hardness?

Wadsworth and Sons was an Austria-German maker from about 1905-1936 .... I imagine the "XLNT" was a registered tang brand of theirs. I've never owned one. You may want to ask the author at the "other" site.

Could be the steel was exceptionally hard and there fore the hones were slower to cut, or perhaps there was a problem with the razor configuration making it hard to hone.
