    Default Thank you...

I’d like to post a public “Thank you!” to sicboater, aka Rob, who went out of his way to help a local bring some of his razors back to life. I’d used them as long as I could without honing them, but stropping could only go so far. Rob took the time to put edges back on them for me, and then allowed me to borrow his Norton 1k/4k to get some practice using a real hone. I'm currently setting funds aside to lay my hands on a decent set of stones in order to allow me to return the loaner.

Rob didn’t have to take the time to help me out, nor did he have to lend me a stone to get some practice. The fact that he took the time out of his busy schedule to help me out says a lot about his character and also of the SRP community. I’m often seeing folks help out others without the slightest hesitation, which is extremely rare in many of the online communities that I’ve been a part of.

Thanks, Rob. You’re a great example of the type of person that makes up our group.

I had great examples to follow from when I was starting out and needed help!

Thanks go to SRP and all its members for creating a place where gentlemen can act like gentlemen.
