Thanks guys!
Marcus, you're the first person who has known who the original Nimue was!
smokelaw I am in awe Ye GODS!! It is good to know that the Arthurian gloss has not completely fooled all here. Nimue was originally a goddess of enchantment & lakes, who gave Myrddin. the chief & wizard, all of his magicks & power, because they were lovers. She is the real inspiration for our daughter's name.

Apparently not. Much of the pre-christian British mythology was subsumed into the Arthurian tales. Arthur himself was a Romano-Celtic bear god & the rest of the Round Table & its associated characters were the old Celtic & Saxon gods. If I say any more this will become a rant on the cultural vandalism of the Roman Catholic church.
Nimue is doing really well. We finally caught her cheeky grin on camera today as her dimples appeared for the first time. Enjoy!

WOW...that smile spells the doom of you! And the joy, of course.
As for the "gloss" over what became of the old tales, my first wife was (and I imagine still is) a well informed pagan, and I learned a ton from her. All it cost me was a decade and a condominium.
