Thread: Help in Vancouver

Hey guys,
So I don't think I can even be counted as new yet since I've got razors... but no strop or hone nor have I ever had the pleasure of a straight shave.
I was wondering if there was anyone in or around Vancouver, Canada that could give me some tips on... well... everything. Are there any good local barbers that are worth seeing (excluding Momentum)? Any old school Italian guys left in this city?
My major issue's that I'm a uni student on a very tight budget so buying hones is out of the question (made the mistake of buying the Conk hone for 20$) and I can't yet afford a strop... I'm hoping to be able to make one.
If all else fails, I'll be sending my blades out to a honemeister soon-ish.
I really want to get this shaving business under way so any help would be greatly apprecicated!
