I just restored my C-Mon Diamond blade and I like how it turned out. I'm going to send it out to be honed properly. I bought it last year and an old hone. I was able to get a shave with it, but couldn't get it to the point of cutting without pulling. I've been DE shaving since. I like DE but want to use a Straight.

I don't like the Dovo strop I have. I am going to buy a Tony Miller strop when they become available again.

Which one? Latigo? Heirloom? 2.5 inches wide or 3. The three inch wide model appeals to me but is there a danger of the stop bowing in the middle?

Also I'll eventually need a good hone. I think the norton 4000/8000 and a paddle strop with paste. What suggestions do you have for paste on the paddle to hone this thing to a useable level of sharpness.

Thanks. I'll post pics of the C-Mon as soon as the pins come in and I get the scales back on the razor.
