Thanked: 363What books to read right before shaving?
I am curious if anyone else enjoys a good book that sets the mood for a nice shave. Post some books that you love reading or that inspire you when your shaving.
Here are some of my favs.
"Walden" Henry David Thoreau
"The Sea Wolf" Jack London
"Germinal" Emile Zola
"A la recherche du temps perdu" Marcel Proust
"Paradisio" Dante Alegheri
"The Crying of Lot 49" Thomas Pynchon
cheers

Thanked: 53Nice choices, especially Walden / The Maine Woods - it has a permanent spot on my night stand. I propose my favorite Hemingway short story - 'Big Two-Hearted River'.

Literature for before a shave?
"Murders in the Rue Morgue" might do the trick. Poe's first successful novella, and directly related to the art of pogonotomy.
What were the Mark Twain essays that related his failed search for the classic salon shave while abroad?
