Thread: Shot Down by SWMBO

From my SOTD post from another board..(I guess I should start posting it here, too...)

Today I did WTG and XTG with the straight...Today was my first 'passable' shave with the straight! It's not BBS by far, nor DFS, but I could wear it in to work (must be clean shaven in uniform) and not be hassled. A few nicks that closed with CWR, and a slice on my chin that took a stiptic to stop, all due to the awkwardness of my first XTG - trying to learn different angles. But my stubble has been reduced to an acceptably 'shaved' level. What an awesome feeling!!!

So I went in all excited to tell my wife, and she just looked at me, blinking.....saying with her eyes, "You're such a dork..."

When I tried explaining my excitement to her, she started chuckling...

Oh well, you all get it....

Remind her of this moment the next time she comes home with her hair done.

Well, now yo know what to share and what to keep to ourself. If yo want to share your experience post it here, we'll listen, critique and maybe laugh also. Give her time and don't talk about shaving to her. Just go about your routine and get really interested and involved in it. She may come around and start asking you about the 'shaving stuff'. I'm lucky. CarrieM is interested in straights and we talk about it a lot but when she is in one of her moods she couldn't give a . Go figure.
