Thanked: 1Exfoliant
So what do you guys use for an exfoliate? Obviously other than the razor its self. I can go a few days without shaving so in between shave days, I need to exfoliate with something otherwise my in-grown hairs will start showing up.
I have been using my wife's stuff and it has helped. So I might as well buy something for myself rather than mooching off of her.
So what you gent's like to use?

I use an exfoliating scrub once or twice a week
on my entire face -- typically Anthony Logistics
but sometimes Neutrogena. My beard area is
probably OK, but the rest of my face needs some
exfoliation!

Thanked: 1903Cleansing Cream : Face Care : Dr. Hauschka works well for me:
Our holistic philosophy of skin care does not endorse the use of aggressive exfoliation by scrubs, peels, glycolics or alpha hydroxy acids. Daily use of Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream, and regular Facial Steam Bath and Cleansing Clay Mask treatments support the natural exfoliation process of the skin.Their tonic and skin oil make for a good addendum to an aftershave, too.Last edited by BeBerlin; 04-23-2009 at 04:45 AM.

Thanked: 235For me, just soap and water. Then all the shaving stuff. Seems to do a good enough job for me.

I like the very fine scrubs, that polish rather than scratch.
My favourites so far have been Clinique, Elemis & Lab Series. All of them were the bloke's ones as i'm not allowed to use my wife's!

You could also use table salt mixed with olive oil.

Clarins have got a men's range out now. The exfoliant is good. In fact everything I've tried in it has been except for the pre-shave beard softener which did what it said on the packet but seemed to soften my skin to the point of making it cut far too easily. Only tried stuff in sample form so far save for the exfoliant which when I ran out of the sample, I bought.
