    Default I'm back ...

Hello fellow bladers! Just thought I would let you know I am back - been being a cretaker to my wife who is in treatment for cancer ..... but now things have settled down, and I have some time to post again. I also just returned from running a three-day golf tournament in New Hampshire.

The looks I got when I pulled-out the straights in the hotel were priceless! Grown, macho, men quivering at the knees when I opened the blade to show them! Hehehe....needless to say, my on-course rulings were never questioned!

Glad to be back in the warmth of SRP again!

You ought to take an old beat up meat-chopper and make a putter out of it ....

    Default Meat Chopper Putter -

What a great Idea! I have a couple laying about that might work! I could easily dull it up (don't want blood on the greens! LOL!) and put a shaft on it, as I still have all the equipment from my old golf clubmakers shop!

A straight putter......what a concept! Would really generate som chatter on the course, too!

If I make one, I will put it in my folder here ......

    Thanks!

    Default Thanks....

Thanks for the good wishes, Bill. She helped me get through treatments for my own cancers, and now I get to return the effort. So far, things look stable.

I'm a n00b here, but in any case, I will join in with my wishes for a speedy recovery. Keep your mindsets positive and feed her with all that nasty healthy green stuff... Yeah this may be a contradiction of terms, but try anyways

HeyChaaz! Glad to have you back!

We really missed your posts. My mother is a recent cancer survivor and I was her caregiver.
So I do sincerely wish the both of you all the best.

The number of new people who have shown up on this site and the Yahoo SRP site is quite surprising. What is really nice is that this site is allowing the use of very informative graphic's. That has helped tremendously is explaining things to the new people. The animated honing and stropping graphics made by superfly are simply outstanding. You might want to check them out.

    Welcome back,

Thanks, Lynn! Right now we are taking a long breather, and settling back down into a quasi-normal life for a while. I missed being here for tha last few weeks......glad to see the growth of the site!

Just had an AWESOME shave with the Perlmann after using the white TI paste on a Dovo linen strop! I think they make a nice combination!

    Strop 'em up!
