CONGRATS! So glad to hear everyone doing well. 6-8 hours? How in the bloody hell do you pull that off? When our little one came home, even taking turns, we were happy with 4 hours!!
I got a "onesie" with one of my favorite bands on it (Dropkick Murphys) when she was all of about 8 pounds. Proud papa when the uptight aunts and uncles saw that one.

I should have known better. The memory of a good night's sleep is fading. They will return, one day.
Nimue was weighed by the visiting nurse today & now is 5 pounds 8 ounces! At this rate, she will be overtaking the full termers. What a wonderful girl!

Still Gorgeous? She gets more gorgeous every single day. Not to mention more alert & curious & much louder.
We split the nights up so we can both get sufficient sleep. I stay up until 2, or more often 3 & do the changes & feeds. Then Silver takes over for the early mornings. It works quite well because I am a night owl & Silver's an early bird. I was finding that being awakened every 2 1/2 to three hours was messing up my diabetes in a major way. Silver really does not appreciate dealing with a squawking Squid & a twitching Spike simultaneously. We are both still knackered but functioning...

The Joys of Parenthood
Greetings family!
The Health Visitor came to see Nim today, she is now weighing in at 6lb 4 1/2 oz (2.85kg). The HV also tested Nim's reflexes and she responded extremely well with them all.
So, she is advanced for a newborn (remember we are still two weeks away from her original due date) and she is super advanced for a preemie, yay Nim!
See, now that makes being barfed up on worth while, she's only done it once so far and I can't stop laughing when she pee's on her Daddy at bath time.
We are still trying to get some decent sleep (yeah right!) but things are going great. Now I just have to get my PC fixed, get my cable and net installed and work out what the heck to get Spike for his birthday and it's all good!
