    Smile A big hello

Hi to all I am now a dedicated follower with a few cuts on the face to prove it! I have found so much inforamtion upon these pages and thanks to every one who placed it there.
I might not be an expert at the shave yet but am a master with the honing of a blade due to past experiance with knives of all kinds so guess I have one benefit on my side.

Hi John, welcome to SRP! Glad that we have another hone guy aboard. That and shaving are my favorite straight razor topics. Check out the SRP Wiki here if you haven't already and read my sig below to avoid nicks. It works for me and used to work for at least one other forum member that I know of.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for the welcome and hope I can gain some advice and offer some in the honing areas as it can be one of the hardest tasks to master in the art of shaving with a straight edge!

I had never dealt with such a delicate and fine edge before and I thought my chefs knives were sharp little did i know
