I would like it if we could tell where everybody was from, it's just more interesting for one thing.

Buy it now is a bit impersonal, I have had guys buy from me and I never hear back if they're happy. they probably aren't upset if I'm not hearing from them, but that doesn't mean they're happy. at the same time it is a good deal for buyer and seller. figure it like this, there are 2 private messaging areas here, in the Classifieds and the main section, plus reply to the thread, plus email. that's four areas I have to check and figure out who was on it first if I have multiple offers. Also, as a buyer, if I click buy it now I know I have it, otherwise I'm waiting to hear back. I could be oscillating, have a 1 and 2 choice, if 1 isn't available I'll go to 2. but if waiting for an answer 2 is gone and I don't get 1? then I'm sad

so I think it is a mixed bag, sometimes good, sometimes bad. still would like to know where everybody is from though.

I like it when the buyer emails me and then clicks the buy it now after I respond.

But I can see the problem with someone snatching it from under their nose. Nothing I am willing to do about it though. Honestly, its just simpler to get an unconditional "I'll take it."

That said, most of the time I get an email before a commitment the item has been there for a few days so its not going to disappear too quickly.

Also, I know some people tell their sellers they are pleased with the product, and as a seller I really love those emails. But as a buyer, I buy a lot of stuff sometimes, and honestly can't keep track of who sent me what. Maybe if they left a business card with their email addy in it I would send them a note, or their sn and forum.

Anyway, thats one of the reasons I use my real name. Easily identifiable, I have nothing to hide. Plus I'm just not creative.

There used to be a google map thingy of member's locations somewhere around here - check out Hoglahoo's signature. Might be useful.
