That someone is YOU, my friend.

Leave some for the rest of us!

Have you tried the regular bowls- the cheaper ones? Any difference? If I have gathered correctly you might have to re-melt to fit in the cheaper ones.

I've got the same sad SAD you do. Unfortunately (well, kind of) I let myself get talked in to a much more expensive set- DR Harris, WMF- those bowls are a LOT more expensive. TQG is next!

Tyler, I started out with the Dr Harris Bowls and soap but they werent working for me, then went for MWF and the ceramic bowl and thought I was ok, untill I discovered TGQ

Im really hooked on these now, but Im bummed that once I get the entire line, what am I going to do ?

Oh and to answer your question, no I havent tried the cheaper bowl, I just think the custom bowls really look a lot nicer, Word on the street is that more of the custom bowls are being made and might be a little deeper, Hopefully Colleen will chime let us know the status of the custom bowls.

I've used her soaps and I really like Leatherneck, Desert whatdayacallit and bay rum& orange among others but those bowls are beautiful. I may just have to order some soap.... and bowls. BTW, if I was going to do anything to the soap it wouldn't be melting it. I prefer to grate it. I don't know that melting would do it any harm but it probably wouldn't do it any good. Grating doesn't take very long and I know it won't hurt anything.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Jimmy, I love the Bay Rum/Sweet Orange, I actually took it out of the bowl and showered with it tonight.

    REALLY !

WoW, that's kinda cool, since I got started in the shaving business because men were using their wives bath soap (purchased from me)to shave with; and now I have shaving soap, and gents are using it to bathe with.....chuckle. Ya just gotta love it

I really appreciate the compliments on the new shaving bowls, and I'll pass your words along to the gentleman making them. The new shaving bowls really are beautiful. The new shipment should be here in two weeks, maybe three....... They have to be made first. But I'll be sure to post as soon as they come in.

Well, I think I have very good news for you. In the past Colleen has been known to make limited runs with titles like BlackTie, Pearberry, Amber...
I think I have about 10 of these (yeah I couldn't resist rubbing it in ).

I think she gets bored with the regular production a lot faster than we, so I guess the limited production trials may return.

ok tetris-man, here's another challenge - what if you stack one two different ones on top of each other - would you get the soap on the top but with subtle hints from the one on the bottom, or can you change the effect by varying the stacking ratio? forget about wine and food pairing.... that's a whole new world here!

Well I havent messed around with the stack ratio yet, but I did lay the bay/sweet orange on top of the sandlewood overnight and got a very interesting scent the next day.

I am definitly going to keep an eye out for any special runs that colleen comes out with
