    Default Boker - New Find

I found this at a junk shop today and for $15 I just couldn't resist. Wanted to show it off. Can't wait to get out the Maas and polish it up.

Very nice find! Congrats. Be careful around the gold wash with the Mass. It will remove the gold but not effect the shave.

    VERY NICE!!
Heed the above if you want to preserve the gold. Many guys just get rid of the gold and work on the great etching

These are great tips. I want to keep the gold - is there an alternative product that yuo would recommend (other than the Maas)?

Theres no way to keep the gold. If that is indeed rust I see, you MUST remove it. Even a scotch pad is going to remove the gold. Well, try that first. You might save 10% of the gold.

Keep in mind, even if you do remove the gold, the etch will still be visible.
