SRP stronger than ever. Demographics here
SRP members come from these countries:
- 69.0% United States
- 6.1% India
- 5.4% United Kingdom
- 4.4% Japan
- 2.6% France
- 12.3% OTHER
this chart indicates that on average, in december 08, people were viewing less than ten pages per day. that means scarcely reading more than a thread or 2.
change in daily time spent on site, 3 month change: UP 95%
The percentage of visits to straightrazorplace.com that came from a search engine, 3 month change: DOWN 45%
to me that means more people are coming directly to the site, IE from bookmarks or linked to here from another site. which is good, more ppl are deliberatley coming here rather than stumbling in.
Percent of global Internet users who visit straightrazorplace.com:
increased by 20 percent in the last 3 months.
these are publicly available stats, there not secret or anything

Alexa stats are in no way shape or form accurate, they are merely a guess.
in order to have accurate tracking, either a tracking code is placed on each page Or logs are kept at server level, alexa has access to neither.
I would gues that the reason you see the recent increase has Nothing to do with an actual increase, but has to do with all the hard Work Dave Wessell has put out over last 60 days and the changes he made to the code which is more friendly to bots.

u may be right, but its been pretty steady and gradual, its not as though one day they allowed bots and the next day the traffic tripled.
and u cant deny the time spent on pages part. or amount of pages that the average viewer looks at, these would not be affected by mods changes
same with the nationality demo's
there pretty accurate, cuz ive checked them out on other sites that ive experienced declining traffic, and alexa confirmed this.
also, im not sure how alexa works, but i know the private sites im a member of, dont have any alexa stats.

As hard stats they are probably worthless.
But they can give an indication.
Also, it's been a while since David ran a report on this, but our membership count has been growing exponentially.
When I started 3 years ago, there were about 1500 members.
A year later there were about 3000ish
A year later 7000
No 12000 ish
(give or take a 1000 here and there )
That alone should be an indication that we are growing.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 3I guess statistics have something in common with foreplay. "Fourplay", since it's numerical. That is, "...what they reveal is interesting, but what they conceal is essential."
What is it these statistics conceal? And once revealed, in what manner will we be satisfied?
Ahhhhhh! The perfect shave!

I thought things were getting busy around here, but couldn't be sure if it was just because I myself am spending less time than I used to. Being a stay-at-home-dad sure is time consuming.
