Thread: Presidential Shaves - Wonder what Obama uses?

I've been spending an awful lot of time reading through the forums, and I can't help but wonder: What kind of shave do you think Obama or other presidents use?

I'm imagining a special brush with a presidential seal on it, or even a personal barber that takes care of him right in the White House.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Seems too clean-shaven all the time to me, my money's on electrolysis.

Actually, a couple decades back, the CIA utilized some technology from Area-51 and found a way to permanently zap facial hair. They call it the "Lazer Razor" and have used it on all presidents since Nixon. The lazer takes the shape of a Razor and is specially made to not penetrate skin, allowing adequate pressure without the need of angle or ATG/XTG strokes. Kinda like a razor lightsaber.

so we can stably bend high energy lasers into the shape of a razor blade, but we don't have yet...

I have thought about it myself before. I'm sure they use whatever they want in the white house. I think we can safely say that any president way back in the day probably used or was professionally shaved by a straight. I'm sure Lincoln did not shave with a mach 3, lol... I can't imagine any of our presidents since WWII using a straight but I could imagine old Donald Rumsfeld using a straight as deftly as our most experienced members. Wonder if he would've used a coticule?

Eisenhower - SR - Govt Issue retained from time in military
Kennedy - New electric razor
Johnson - SR - Probably a Dubl Duck
Nixon - With that beard? W&B Barber Special 3x daily
Ford - Gold double edge
Carter - Disposable Bic safety razor
Reagan - Likely electric but maybe a double edge
Bush 1 - Double edge
Clinton - Gotta go with Mach 2 specialy made and gold covered
Bush 2 - Mach 4
Obama - Agree with electrolysis - if not, then Fusion

He's a pretty busy guy.I don't think he has time for shaving. I think he waxes.

I read an article a few years back where an old White House barber was interviewed. I can't remember everything he said but I recall he said most of the presidents he worked with shaved with blades except Reagan who shaved with an electric. I think he indicated Nixon shaved with a cartridge which was new technology at the time.

According to this old article in Time magazine by Theodore White JFK shaved with a straight razor.
