Where Do You Keep the Regulars?
I've gotten to where I have my regular rotation of 7 in the bathroom. The rest are in holding in various stages of rest, restoration, cleaning or honing, or otherwise not in daily use.
The 7 that I use in daily rotation just sit in my shaving corner of the master bath. I picked up 2 really nice holders but at almost $100 a pop, I stopped at 2. So the other 5 SRs sit on top of a large jar of shaving cream and I'm afraid they'll get bumped off at some point. I ordered a few of Olivia's felt holders (one to hold 9 regulars and a big one to hold 18 "ready to come off the bench") and was about to mount them on the wall when the wife nixed the idea on grounds of - well - I guess because something didn't match.
So, where does everyone keep their regular blades, the ones you rotate through?

I keep my current rotation on top of the old drafting (or whatever it is, I picked it up at a flea market) box I store the rest of the razors, not in my rotation.
I keep a bunch of silicone desiccant bags in there with them too, just to be safe.

Well I'll tell you, I have about 100 razors. So I have about 30 that are my rotation for the week. Then I have another 40 just for a weekend rotation and the rest are use now and then. My weekly razors either came with individual boxes or I got some pen boxes from BurlWoodbox.com and that's where I keep them. My weekenders I keep in a forstner box I bought a few years back and the rest I have either in a box vlad made for me or an old oak box I refinished a few years back.

Thanked: 402ndw76 that is a very nice razor box!
AirColorado I'm sorry it did not work out on the wall but maybe its better you fold it and put it into a drawer.

Funny - that's exactly what my wife told me! You sure I didn't speak German in a past life? :-) Anyway after seeing those boxes I went and bought a Thiers-Issard 7 day box - burlwood from Classic Shaving - it looks nice so I guess I'll have a home for the daily rotation blades in a few days. Your holders will be holding the ones awaiting their turn in the rotation - and to use when I travel as well as the upcoming talk I agreed to give to the barber school!
And here's a pic from the site. I looked at their 28 razor box but it's a bit too steep for me at the moment.Last edited by AirColorado; 05-21-2009 at 05:26 AM. Reason: Add pic

I just have 4 razors, which is ok because I usually don't shave every day. Anyways, I just keep mine on my dresser in their boxes. When I am ready to shave I grab a razor and off to the bathroom.
