Retro-Fitted Cigar Box Holds 10 Razors
so i made a balsa prototype, a little different, this is second draft.
the bottom pieces are 1/4 cedar and they are elevated 1/4 inch.
the rest is poplar walnut, and maple.
its going to be lined with 1 piece of silk.
they get snugger towards the back. my 6/8 boker fits in all of them, snug in smaller ones, loose in larger ones.
and its removeable if i ever want the box for somethin else.
im also going to make a cushioend panel for the top, so youll open the box, remove the cushioned panel. itll hold them in there slots snugly.
the box import tag is stamped '73.Last edited by The0ctopus; 05-25-2009 at 08:24 PM.

Thanks!
its just to get it all worked out, i want to make a couple more intricate, perhaps carved and contoured,
its just so i can see what i like and dont like about this style box.
one thing i see i dont like is that i could have fit more razors with narrower dividers.

Thanked: 2I was out shopping for just such a box today. Not much luck. I was thinking of using elastic cording woven through the bottom panel to keep everything in place, including my hones.
