    Default Strop paste....any advice?

Hey, I have a dovo strop which has a smooth side and a rough, untreated side. i was thinking of applying some red strop paste to the rough side to touch up a moderately dull blade. Any thoughts on using the rough side for this? Would it damage the blade?
    Thanks

Take a look at Finishing Pastes - Straight Razor Place Wiki. Dovo red is still fairly aggressive.

Sounds scary to me, 3 micron paste on rough leather.
Don't have a hone for touch ups ?

And maybe consider something finer like CrO. I mean 3 micron is like a Norton 8k but if you're from the convex bevel school no offence meant.
