It should be a decent shaver.
It look's clean enough.
It'll need honing.
Personally, with the cost of honing, i wouldn't pay much more than what it's at now (£5.50). There's nothing too special about it, just a good honest blade.

Texan, Ive been following some of your posts, and I'd suggest trying out a few classifieds blades until you figure out what to look for. Also check the database in the wiki. There are many brands that nobody has used, but usually after some time you pick up some ideas about what a good razor should look like. eBay will always be a gamble. For example, the seller of that Dovo admitted to photoshopping the pics... You can never really tell what you are going to get. In the classifieds you have a much lower chance of getting stuck with a dud.

Not really, there are usually plenty of razors at good prices, there can be a big price/quality tradeoff, but also consider the cost of getting two 35 dollar duds compared to one $60 shaver.
Btw add 20 to your eBay price to account for honing, 5 or so for shipping, and your 35 bucks turns into 60Last edited by Del1r1um; 06-17-2009 at 06:46 PM.

Short answer:
Usually though, you wind up getting what you pay for.
Much longer answer:
Let me caviat this by saying that I'm not trying to push you towards the classifieds here. Let me also say that I have no vested interest in the razors up for sale in the classifieds on this site or the members who advertise there.
I love looking for bargains on ebay, and have found a suprising number of "diamonds in the rough" there. I'm sure you can find many excellent razors and honest sellers on the bay.
However, it was only after doing lots of homework, and learning by reading here and in other forums what to look for in an ebay razor in terms of condition, brands, and so forth.
That didn't prevent me from winding up with a useless blade on occasion because ebay is strictly "caveat emptor." Photoshopping, cleverly angled and lit photos, "inadvertent non-disclosures" and the like can wind up biting you in the . Once you've put in the time to learn what to look for, you signifigantly improve your odds on ebay.
In the classifieds, most members advertising there have some history of selling shave-ready quality razors, and have a vested interest in protecting their reputations in this forum. Members who buy usually post descriptions and reviews of the merchandise they receive, and it's easier to check things out and find out who delivers the goods. The first blade I purchased on this site (It was the buy/sell/trade section then) was and still is magnificent. The merchandise I've bought from the classified (razors and other items) came exactly as advertised, and I'm completely satisfied with my purchases. For someone who's newer to the game, most of the homework has been done for you.
I'm not saying that there is no chance you won't wind up gettting screwed in the classifieds. I just think there's a better chance you'll wind up satisfied.
