    Default Vintage Blades?

Has anyone bought from Vintage Blades LLC? We all see the add on SRP but has anyone ever bought from them? Would you recommend it? Are their razors shave ready?

Jim's a stand up guy. Visit his site. He does talk about pre-honed razors on his home page. If in doubt email him. He is great to work with. You will be pleased with any product you get from him...

I've made purchases in the past and the service was great. I never purchased a straight razor, but I believe on his site it states that all the razors are pre-honed by Lynn. Shoot Jim an e-mail to check, but I'm pretty sure this is the case.

Keep in mind, as has been discussed on the forum before, "shave-ready" means it will shave someone, somewhere....it may not be a perfect edge...in theory, it "should" be, but nothing is perfect, unfortunately

I got the Bengall Codman&Sons black handled razor witht he asking price of $45. It looks like it is a decent razor.

Is anyone familiar with Bengall Codman&Sons?

Bengalls are sweet. you are not going to be sorry... Also, coming from Sham it is going to be sharp for sure... I wouldn't even strop it the first time if it were me unless Sham included instructions saying otherwise, just rinse and shave.

Good one, I think you'll love it.
In my opinion, you got a heck of a deal on a nice blade, and Sham's guarantee behind it.

There's no law that says you still can't buy one from him...

I used them for my starter set which included a Dovo 5/8 Ebony, brush, strop, shaving mug, and a puck of soap. Razor came honed by Lynn. No problems at all!
