Finally home from deployment!
Greetings all!
It's nice to be back home in my own house and my own bed! I returned from a deployment to western Iraq, stationed with the Marines of 3/7 and 2/1. Got home some time ago but finally getting settled in and back to work.
I received some nice notes from some of the folks here and it was GREATLY appreciated! Taking a few razors with me, along with a travel strop from Tony and a few of Mama Bear's soaps helped remind me of home. Hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll get the shop back up and running on some scales; I managed to break a set of pecan scales while over there that need replacing.
I am checking into my new command and the guys at my old duty station want to give me a gift, so I'll be posting in the razor section looking for some suggestions (leaning toward a new Dovo Renaissance or a white bone Bismark
).
Again, thanks to the folks here. A good shave, when we actually had hot water
made for a nice touch of home!
