From Goins': ABRAM BROOKSBANK SHEFFIELD ENGLAND
c 1849-1953. "Malinda Works Sheffield" is stamped on the tang. The firm was on Milton Street, Sheffield England. The cannon and "Defiance" trademark was owned by John Bedford & Sons Ltd. in 1953. This company manufactured "Bowie" type knives, among other types of cutlery.

Does anyone have any information on the origin of a table knife that has a stamp on the blade of:

    ABRAM BROOKSB......(worn off)
    MALINDA WORKS SHEFF.....(worn off)

I know my grandparents came from Edinbrough, Scottland, and probably brought the knives with them on the boat in a steamer trunk when they immigrated to the US in about 1920.
