Thanked: 0Good reason not to fly
I flew to KS to see a friend and packed my shavette in the checked baggage. After I got there, I was glad to see it was still in the luggage. Big relief that they didn't confiscate it or anything. Well, after I got back home a few days later and started unpacking, the razor was gone. I remember laying it in a specific spot at my friend's house, meaning to put it in the luggage later. It either got misplaced in KS or was taken from the luggage. : (

Thanked: 1Hi Kyle,
I can't imagine that they would just open your luggage and take it. With terrorism laws being what they are, I would expect that if your luggage were detained and examined, you would be too. Since that didn't happen, it's probably still in KS.

Thanked: 0Thanks for the replies, that makes me feel a little better. I guess I'll ask my friend to look around the house again. That shavette has gotta be somewhere!

I am not sure when but I heard that is possible that the TSA is going to relax some of the security laws like allowing you to fly with clippers, nail files, razors again...really-it has been all over the news.

Thanked: 0As for the TSA regulations, I heard that too. Starting soon, they won't make everybody take off their shoes :? And about graduating from the shavette--it's just my travel razor, in case of situations like this one!
