10$ is a good deal. My favorite barber just retired, he charged me 10$, the guy who replaced him wants 14$, after looking around he seems to be fair.

I think it is all a numbers game. I've seen people in the media say that age "60 is the new 40". Maybe so but to my recollection dollar for dollar of what you could buy forty years ago $100.00 is the new $10.00.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

With inflation (the devaluation of your labor) a dime on the dollar should be about right. I used to get a Coke out of a machine for a dime, now it costs a dollar.

My grandfather swears by his $3 (no tax) haircuts in China Town.

I'm loyal to the guy I've been going to since I was 14.

    $9 here

    just changed from 8

and you can tell because it's one of those slotted boards with white plastic numbers

all but the number 9 is stained yellow with cigarette smoke

    kinda highlights the $9 part

(of course I'm now shaving my head)

I always thought life moved slower back in the day. Sort of shocked to see the hours. My barber doesn't stay open that late.

THAT'S what singing is? I was going to ask. Holy smokes! (Pun intended.) They literally burn the hair out of your nose and ears... eek.
