Thanked: 77Young shaver!
Not sure if this counts, but it made my day!
While experimenting with keeping lather warm, my 7 year old son came in and agreed to test it out... which led to full face lather.
Asked if he'd like to have a 'shave', he agreed, here's the details:
$2 Mennen shave stick (- didn't want to use good stuff on my practice lathers)
$2 Supermarket brush
2 bowls inside eachother to keep lather warm
Blunt butter knife 'razor'
7 & 1/2 year old son - the 'young shaver'
He worked through his first passes alright, re-lathered and went for 2nd pass 'WTG' and and a bit of 'ATG'.
He wants to join me for another shave in the morning and has set out his butter knife in the bathroom next to my razor!!
(I see a future straight shaver!!! Now for my 3 year old... actually, I better wait till he can tell the difference between blunt and sharp).Last edited by FTG; 07-28-2009 at 12:41 PM.

That's great. My Father died when I was young but I had a Grandpa who I use to shave with. At that time he was using DE's so he just took the blade out of one of his and made it mine. I remember those times and they are some of the best memories I have of then. Yes he may well be a future str8 shaver but the quality time now will last a lifetime.

Drats, my pop never did that. My son will get to do that with me when he is old enough.

Thanked: 15It doesn't get any better than that, unless you are fishing! Just a note of caution from the pediatrician side of me, make sure you keep your straight razors safely put away. Enjoy the time, but be safe.
