The Bigspendurs Weekly Shaving Brainbuster #6
Good morning shaving fiends.
Well, after last weeks lame answers we had better have a better showing this week or I'm gonna have to come over and hurt you.
I have a question for you
The answer is easy to do
If you can do it your smart as a widget
And probably a good shaver too.
Name 10 vintage companies who produced straight razors right here in the good old USA.
Ready, set, go.
Check back on Wednesday for the astounding answer.
AND as a bonus if you can put your answer into rhyme you will win a prize! No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

OoohhH! Rhyme AND American razors! Two of my favorites!
10 American Razors
Geneva, known as Genco, made blades the live-long-day
And Case made great razors, in the good old fashioned way.
We've got Torrey as well, they're smooth shavers all
And my Beardsley & Alvord that's sitting on the wall.
Red Point, I believe, had smithies as well
And Remington's blades sure are swell.
I've heard some tales about Cattaraugus
And Pennsylvania's King Razors don't apall us. (Sorry about that one...)
Canton Cutlery of Ohio made some real keen cutters,
And about Reliance razors I've heard a few mutters.
So that's my poem of American Steel.
Give me an answer, let me know how you feel!!!

I'll give it a go...
Now Genco was a good straight blade,
In fact it was the king.
If you could wing,
A Dubl Duck, you knew you had it made.
William Rogers, there were a few,
And I’m sure they all were fun,
But Noonan & Son,
Who we called Tukum, is who Bostonians knew.
John Russell worked in Turner Falls,
But in Chicago there’s Sears.
And from what I hear,
To buy one, your money, takes all.
Utica, in New York, made razors named the same.
Around the time of “The Don”,
Was a company named Marathon,
Of Irvington, New Jersey fame.
My favorite steel to fix so far was made by Thistle Cut,
But this razor story,
I didn’t forget Torrey,
Is the work of a razor nut!
