Default Looking for a badger brush

I'm wanting to buy myself a badger hair brush for my upcoming birthday. I know it's a stupid thing to ask what the best brush is because it varies from person to person. That's why I'm asking this. What's your favorite brush you've used, why, and where did you get it? Any input is much appreciated.

My favourite is my Kent BK 4. It was the best bang for your buck brush I could find and feels like it should cost much more than it does. I know there are many better brushes out there, but the prices are often more than I can afford. I also have Edwin Jagger Best Bdager brushes and they are a little stiffer and I like them better for soap, although any of my brushes will work with either soap, or cream.

You could contact Leon. He's a Portuguese member here and a fine gentlemen. He owns a small shave paraphernalia store and I'm almost certain he ships to the UK. I bought mine from him (I'm in Belgium).

My favourite brush is Rooney Emillion. I find it to be firm enough to work with both soaps and cremes. Overall quality is supperb.

Thanks for that. I found his site and it's closed for a few weeks, but I'll be sure to check back and get my order in soon.

I bought a SRD silver tip brush a cople of weeks ago and am very pleased with it. Considering some silvertips can run a couple of hundred dollars and these sell for around $90, it is one of the best bang for buck brushes I have found.

My favorite is the Rooney No. 1 small in finest. The bristles have a lot of backbone, but velvet soft tips. It's also very dense. For me, this is the perfect brush for use with soaps, which I use probably 80% of the time. It's pricey, but after trying a few different brushes, I think it's worth it. YMMV, etc.

My two favorite brushes took me quite a while to find but will be with me for a long time. One my vintage simpson polo which I sent to Bernd from Shavemac to stuff with what he calls his D01 silvertip badger hair. It is a great brush incredibly soft tips, but because of its dense nature, does not splay too much when face lathering.

The other is my newly acquired Simpson Tulip 2 in 2 band. It keeps its shape better than any brush I've ever used and loads up with mounds of soap very quickly.
