    I emailed So at Japan Tools when I was looking for a stone, as well as someone who has them on Ebay.

    The ebay guy was nice but it wasn't really clear what I was going to get, it also seemed a little too cheap. Haven't heard back from So yet. So is well respected though, especially among some other forums I belong to. But OS was quick, informative and the price was right.

    I didn't intend this to be a review of Old School, though he gets the double thumbs up from me.

    My thread was intended to voice my opinion that these Nakayama stones are all they are cracked up to be.

    I think there are several people who have multiple stones from both those outsiders as well as OS. I have yet to see anyone complain.

    Now I have heard some complaints from JWW patrons; maybe Hida too.

    Never, never, never, use the words "Nakayama" and "cracked" in the same sentence!!!!!
