    Question Como se dice Thiers-Issard?

    Hopefully easy one: I don't think that I have ever seen a "phonetic pronunciation guide" for this name. How is "Thiers-Issard" pronounced?

    (Dovo I can probably do.)

    I know a French fellow that comes into my job and he is a straight razor shaver. I asked him how to pronounce Thiers-Issard and he said as follows in a dictionary style:

    Thiers= Theers Issard=Is ah urd

    To that effect. Hope that helps!

    Gee, that's too much like the way that it's spelled. I was expecting to drop three or four letters per word.

    Thanks.

    It's a hard 't' sound not a 'th'. More like tea-AIRS i-SARD, or perhaps TEARS i-SARD. Ma française, ce n'est pas trés bien, mais c'est ça.
