Default Barber shop asked me to sharpen.

I have been asked by several barbershops in my town (population: 10,000) to sharpen their straight razors for them. I am wondering about how often should I go there to either touch up the razors as well as hone them.
I figured that they should probably be honed ( depending on how many faces are shaved) monthly. If they only use the straights for cleaning up behind the neck, sharpen every 3 months. The other thing is, would it be to my advantage to set them up with a paddle strop or maybe a custom strop and instruct them in proper stropping?
Randydancer has been real great to be a Mentor for me and I have learned a ton about honing and razors in general. I have been quite successful in honing my own blades and think that this would be a great opportunity for me to get some pocket change.
    Please give me your thoughts,
    Bill W

I didn't think barbers were allowed to use non-disposable straights any longer - unless of course they used an autoclave.

Dunno, but my barber always cleans up the neck and sideburns with a non-disposable straight... Maybe he didn't get the memo

Honing extra razors is good practise, that's why some members offer free honing. Not all though. Some hone just fine already but want to help out new members.
Your skills should develop faster so good luck!

There are a small handful of states that are still allowed to use traditional straight razors versus disposable.

You have several barbershops in your town that use straight razors?

I think I know where I want to retire.
