Thanked: 20so what's left?
As typical, I have progressively descended through the depths of straight-shavedom. I was hit with SSRAD early on, got over it and have managed to avoid contracting brush, strop, hone, soap and restoration acquisition disorders.
The setup is minimal:
Dubl Duck Special No. 1 in bone
Crown and Sword "Non plus ultra" in horn
22mm GoldenNib Finest two-band extra in Original KimSon blonde horn handle
Penhaligons English Fern tallow first SS
Restored Fred W. Royalty & Co. (Daneville, IL) Cordovan Shell Strop
Dirty Bird Scuttle
Nakayama Namito Asagi
That's it right? I've passed the challenges?
I mean, there's aftershave/cologne, but I'm not really big on that stuff. Using Body Shop fragrance free aloe aftershave gel. Bought a Trumper's Lime skinfood, but USPS lost it; and I'm not sure it would've gone w/ the EF scent.Last edited by Ichinichi; 08-31-2009 at 02:55 AM.

Outstanding choices on all counts, as far as I can tell...the lime skin food scent fades very quickly in my experience, so it wouldn't be a big problem on way or the other. If you're looking for a good match to the EF in an aftershave, Penhaligon's makes an aftershave and EdT in the scent. They're brilliant...but use what works for you, mate.

Not exactly, no. The soap has added levels of richness from the, well, soapiness. The scents of the Aftershave and EdT have stronger citrus elements in the top note, elements like bergamot and lemon, but the scents are generally the same.
The differences are real, but they are excellent in both counts...
