Who voted for neither? Come on speak up!
Yeah, you are probably right, I would make rancid beer and hone razors too slivers of metal.
Yeah, I know, do both, but I get a little obsessed when learning something new. I'm afraid of starting them both at the same time and letting one fall by the wayside, as I research the other.
Right now I'm leaning toward brewing. If it is easier than I think, I could easily go into restoration, if I'm wrong and brewing is harder than I thought, then SR-CMT, makes a good point.
This is not my final decision.Last edited by natepaint; 09-15-2009 at 07:54 PM.

Brew!
If you make a mistake restoring - you trash it.
If you make a mistake brewing - you get trashed!

Brewing. You can make beers you would normally not be able to afford. I'm not saying you'll save money overall, but you'll get to experience some great beer. Also, as mentioned before, you can always restore while fermenting.

I have been thinking about this all day today,
I finally made up my mind, I would restore razors and leave the brewing beer to the pro's.
I enjoy it too much and have no interest in making it.
Cheers

Thanked: 1Making 5 gallon batches of beer is simple. If you follow the easy directions, you cant go wrong. oh, and make sure where you are making it is clean. The beer takes awhile to ferment, then you have to bottle it, then bottle condition for a little while, then you drink. Just what most everyone else said, restore while your beer ferments and is bottle conditioning. Depending on the beer it should take about a month or so to make an easy partial mash brew. I suggest not going into full mash beer, as that takes more effort.
